Terms of Service
The agreement between LadderPrep and the parents who buy and use it.
Effective date: October 25, 2026
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Raptune Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong ("LadderPrep", "we", "us"). They cover your use of ladderprep.com and the LadderPrep program. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use LadderPrep.
1. Who can use LadderPrep
- Accounts are for parents and legal guardians who are at least 18 years old.
- Children use LadderPrep only through their parent's account, with the parent's permission, using a sign-in link the parent gives them.
- You are responsible for how your children use LadderPrep under your account.
- LadderPrep is offered to families in the United States.
2. Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep your email address current. We send permission requests, sign-in links you ask for and progress reports there, and Stripe sends payment receipts there.
- Keep your password and your children's sign-in links private, whether you copy a link or have us email it to you. Anyone who has a valid sign-in link can sign in as that child until the link is used, replaced or expires (7 days).
- You can sign out your child's devices and cancel sign-in links on the child's page at any time.
- Tell us right away at support@ladderprep.com if you think someone else is using your account.
3. Child profiles and enrollments
- You can add up to six child profiles. Each profile needs your permission by email before the child can sign in (see the Privacy Policy).
- An enrollment gives one child full access for 180 days: the full study plan, lesson videos inside the app, new practice sets, mistake review, quick checks and new full-length math practice tests.
- The 180 days start when a lesson video first plays, the child first answers a paid practice question, or a quick check or full-length math practice test successfully starts. If none of these happens, access starts 90 days after payment. Opening pages, changing settings and taking the Free Placement Test do not start it.
- Some features are free without an enrollment: the Free Placement Test and its results, the lesson list, the study plan preview, progress pages and past test results. Public YouTube lessons are free to watch there. After access ends, a child can still finish a lesson practice set, quick check or full-length math practice test they had already started, and see its results. Extra practice sets and review need active access until they are submitted.
- Each child profile can have one enrollment that was not refunded or reversed, plus one 90-day extension. There is no renewal or second enrollment after that enrollment expires. A refunded or reversed enrollment does not count toward this limit.
- An enrollment and its extension belong to one child profile and cannot be moved to another child, account or family, except for the main-enrollment adjustment during a family refund described in section 5.
- When access ends, paid features lock. The profile, placement result, learning history and plan remain for the retention period in our Privacy Policy. After a refund, you can enroll the same profile again and continue its existing plan; parental permission stays valid.
- Deleting a child profile ends its enrollment and extension and loses remaining time; deletion does not issue a refund. Ask for any refund before deleting the profile, and keep it until we have answered so we can review its learning record.
4. Prices and payment
- An enrollment costs US$1,599 per child for 180 days.
- Launch offer: an enrollment costs US$1,299 through November 15, 2026, California time. The cutoff is November 16 at 00:00 in America/Los_Angeles. An offer checkout opened before the cutoff keeps its price until that checkout expires, at most about 31 minutes after the cutoff. No new offer checkout opens after the cutoff.
- Additional children: while your account holds a non-refunded full-price main enrollment for another child, each additional child's enrollment costs US$999. Your account's first full-price enrollment is its main enrollment; a launch-offer enrollment qualifies, even after its access ends. A reversed payment and free or complimentary access do not qualify. Section 5 explains family refunds when one child stops and another stays.
- Tax is added at checkout. Prices exclude sales tax. Stripe uses your billing address to calculate any applicable tax and shows the total before you pay.
- Each enrollment or extension is a one-time payment. There is no subscription or automatic charge, and enrollments do not renew. You can buy only after confirming parental permission for that child.
- Extension: US$399 adds 90 days, once per enrollment. You can extend from 30 days before the enrollment ends, including after it ends, as long as payment is completed by day 275 from the access start. Bought before access ends, the extension follows that end date; bought after, it starts at payment. The extension must end within 365 days of the original access start. An unstarted, refunded or reversed enrollment cannot be extended, nor can one with a refund or dispute pending.
- Before continuing to payment, you must tick the box agreeing to the enrollment or extension terms. We record the accepted version and time and email the accepted text with your purchase confirmation. We also email you when the 180 days start; that notice may arrive up to one day after the start.
- Payments are in US dollars, by card, on Stripe's checkout page. Stripe emails payment and refund receipts; you can also open a purchase receipt on your child's page.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects an enrollment you have already paid for.
5. Refunds
To request a refund, email support@ladderprep.com from your account email address and name every child who is stopping. Ask within 14 days of the payment for your family's full-price main enrollment, even if access has not started or an additional child's enrollment was bought later. At your request time, each stopping child must have:
- Five or fewer lesson videos first reach 80% played in the app after that child's enrollment payment. Rewatching a video does not add another count; skipped parts and practice completion do not count as video coverage.
- Never started a full-length math practice test, including under earlier access. The Free Placement Test and quick checks do not count.
There is one ordinary refund request per account email for this product in each 365-day period. The first period starts with that email's first enrollment payment. The next starts with the first enrollment payment after the previous period ends. One request can cover one, several or all children; each must meet the conditions above. Refunding all enrollments or deleting the account does not reset the period. An enrollment belongs to the period containing its payment, even if the request arrives after that period ends.
While any enrollment is kept, we refund only the additional child's payment and its tax, never the full-price main payment. If the child holding the main enrollment stops, we move that enrollment to the staying child and refund the additional payment. The staying child keeps their own access start and end dates and learning records; this adjustment does not transfer learning time or progress between children. If all children stop and qualify, we refund all their enrollment payments. Each refund includes the tax collected on that payment, less any amount already refunded.
Extensions are not refundable, except to correct a charging error on our side. Charging errors are always corrected, including an extra duplicate charge caused by our system or a payment that could not be applied. Only the extra charge is refunded for a duplicate. These corrections do not use the ordinary refund request, whether or not access was used.
A full refund ends the paid enrollment; it does not delete the child's profile, permission, placement, learning history or plan. Those remain under the Privacy Policy's retention rule, and you may enroll the same profile again. If your family's ordinary request for that 365-day period was already used, the new enrollment paid in that period cannot receive another ordinary refund. A partial refund, including a days-left refund under section 9 or 10, does not end access by itself.
If a bank dispute reverses a payment, access from that payment ends. An enrollment reversal also ends its attached extension; other children's enrollments stay as they are. This is a payment reversal, not a refund we issue. The profile and records remain.
6. Acceptable use
You and your children agree not to:
- share an account or an enrollment with another family, or resell access;
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, publish or sell our questions, explanations, videos or other content;
- use our content to build a competing product or to train AI models;
- try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or test our security without our written permission;
- interfere with the service, overload it, or get around its limits or access controls;
- use LadderPrep for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close an account for a serious or repeated breach, we do not have to refund unused enrollment time, but may choose to do so using the days-left calculation in section 9. Extensions are not refundable, except to correct a charging error on our side.
7. Our content
- Our questions, explanations, lessons, videos and tests are created by us, with the help of software tools including AI, and reviewed by us. To the extent they are protected by copyright or other rights, those rights belong to us or our licensors.
- We give you and your children a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your family's own test preparation while your account is open.
- Our videos on YouTube are also subject to YouTube's terms.
- ISEE is a trademark of its owner. LadderPrep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ERB, E3N or any test publisher. Our practice questions and practice tests are original and are not actual ISEE questions or tests.
8. No score or admission guarantee
LadderPrep helps children practice and learn. It does not guarantee any test score, percentile, stanine or school admission. The Free Placement Test is a short first look, not a full assessment. Readiness estimates are estimates based on our own original practice tests; they are not predictions of an official score. Our full-length practice tests are original tests modeled on the ISEE math sections. Real ISEE results are scaled scores, percentile ranks and stanines that compare students; we cannot predict those. Results depend on many things outside our control, including how much your child practices.
LadderPrep is not a school, a tutoring service or an official test provider. Check exam rules, dates and formats with ERB and the schools you apply to.
9. Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove features and content. If we remove a core part of the program while you have a paid enrollment or extension, we will refund the unused part of each, in proportion to the days left.
For refunds based on days left, we calculate each purchase separately: the amount paid for that purchase, including tax, multiplied by its unused days divided by its total days, less amounts already refunded for that purchase (never below zero). An enrollment has 180 total days and an extension has its own 90 days and its own payment. Before a purchase's access starts, all its days are unused; after it starts, its unused days are those remaining until its end. Ended access has no unused days. This calculation also applies to section 10. Refunds under this section and section 10 also cover extensions; they are not refunds under section 5.
We may pause the service for maintenance or because of problems outside our control. We try to keep interruptions short.
10. Ending your account
- You can delete a child profile on the child's page, or your whole account in Settings. If a checkout for a child is still open or being confirmed, it has to be completed, cancelled, or settled by the payment processor first; your child's page shows its status. Deletion is permanent. See the Privacy Policy for what is deleted, and section 5 before deleting if you want a refund.
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering LadderPrep. If we stop offering LadderPrep for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused part of each paid enrollment and extension using section 9's days-left calculation, including all days before its access starts and subtracting amounts already refunded.
- Sections 6 to 8 and 11 to 14 continue to apply after your account ends.
11. Disclaimers
LadderPrep is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those written in these terms. We do not promise that the service will always be available or error-free, or that every question and answer is free of mistakes. If you find a mistake, please tell us.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost opportunities, lost admission or lost data; and
- our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid nothing.
Some places do not allow these limits. Where they are not allowed, they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about these terms or LadderPrep. This does not take away any protection you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live that cannot be waived, and you may also bring a claim in a small-claims court where you live.
Before starting any formal claim, please email us so we can try to fix the problem.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here, with the date it takes effect. For an enrollment you have already bought, a change that reduces your rights applies only after that enrollment ends. Other changes apply from the date they take effect.
