What it covers

LadderPrep covers the two math sections of the ISEE Middle Level: Quantitative Reasoning and Mathematics Achievement. It does not cover Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension or the Essay.

How it works

The Free Placement Test takes up to 30 minutes, one question at a time, each depending on the answers before it; "I haven't learned this yet" is a real answer. Lessons your child seems to know start with a quick check instead of the video. Each lesson explains one topic from the beginning, and practice comes in the format of the online test: one question per screen, flag and review, no calculator.

A week-by-week plan is built from the minutes you set for each study day, the test date and completed work; anything left on a day goes first on the next study day, and later work moves back. A practice question your child misses comes back 2 days later, and once more 7 days after it is answered right. The course includes 6 timed full-length math practice tests.

For parents

Parents create the account and add their children. Children never get an account or email address of their own, and their pages load no ads or third-party trackers. Each child's results, plan and progress appear on the parent dashboard.
